December 14, 2018 — Dan McGonnigle, editor of the Caledonia Argus, reported that the paper is now owned by Adams Publishing Co.  The Argus is a share owner with Decorah and Waukon papers of a printing business.  With the Adams ownership, the display ads are now designed in India.  Local newspapers have less control over their business than they had in the past.  This is true of all small town papers.
