May 5 – Ashley Dress, fellow Rotarian and Caledonia Librarian, led a session to brainstorm ideas of what the Caledonia Library can do to solve community issues.

May 12 – Pastor Deb King Quale spoke about her life leading up to the ministry.  She grew up in Austin, MN with 5 sisters and her parents.  She came into the ministry gradually.  She has been in the ministry for 30 years but was ordained in 2012.  Her husband teaches at UW-L.  One son is an opera singer and will be living in Detroit.  Her second son is attending Winona State University majoring in Business and Marketing.

May 18 – We toured Mary Ann Flowers, the floral shop in Caledonia recently purchased by sisters, Aimee Welscher and Arien O’Heron.  Aimee has an associates degree in horticulture and does all the arranging and ordering.  Arien is there part time and does the accounting/bookwork.  They are holding an open house next weekend to welcome the community to their business.
